If you have played an Ibanez, Fender, Schecter, Tanglewood or G&L Tribute (to name a few!) over the past 10 years you may well have been experiencing the production quality of CORT. Cort is a manufacturer - not just a brand name (unlike say Ibanez or Tanglewood in that list). In fact, Cort is possibly the most highly regarded manufacturer of guitars in the Far East - hence the top brands using them.
When you "buy into" a brand name you are paying for the advertising, marketing and "mojo" that this brand name offers. The brand also has to buy the guitar from the manufacturer and of course the manufacturer has to make a profiit - thus inflating the price to the end user even further.
Bottom line? Cort guitar production is World Class. Cort guitars offer the best value in the World.

In one form or another I have been recommending Cort produced guitars since my first days in guitar retail some 13 years ago. My first ever top recommendations in the acoustic World where for a number of Tanglewood guitars (TW28, Earth 100, Earth 200, SF5, CJ5 - remember them?) all made by Cort (quality plummeted on the TW28 when production moved away from Cort which is why it vanished from my list of recommendations). I never realised that the G&L Tribute guitars were also made by Cort despite the fact they were also another top recommendation for years. Cort are quite simply an industry standard setter in so many "genres and price points". I believe nobody knows the product better or can offer you the same level of advice, guidance and online service as I can at Guitars.co.uk & Richards Guitars (2 Regent Street, Leamington Spa).
